This cheese sauce is smooth, creamy and perfect for crepes, mac and cheese, in grain bowls, on toast… it’s versatile and full of protein as its base is BEANS!
- Makes: ~2 cups
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: ~20 minutes
- Cost: ~ $5
1 can white beans (I’m using organic cannellini beans)
1/2 cup unsweetened milk of choice (I’m using my homemade almond)
6 Tbs nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbs Mustard
2 tsp buttery spread
salt and pepper to taste
Drain and rinse beans and add all ingredients into a food processor. Transfer sauce to a small saucepan and heat on low, stirring, until desired thickness is achieved and it’s all nice and warm and ready to serve!
I made a YouTube video of this whole process too! It can be found here. Also please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you get notifications of when I post videos! I try to post one video per week, on Wednesdays 🙂
